We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join our engineering team in South Wales.
What you'll do,
Working within the engineering team, the Project Engineer will be responsible for taking control of multiple projects for various types of manufacturing activities, from order stage through to completion.
Day to day responsibilities:
Interpret customer design requirements from data sheets, drawings and specifications.
Visit customer sites for visual/dimensional surveys or meetings.
Review detailed fabrication drawings using 2D AutoCAD and/or 3D Solidworks software.
Produce quality control documentation.
Purchase materials and organise sub-contractor services.
Produce project schedules and monitor project progress.
Liaise with customers, inspectors and third party personnel on and off-site.
Report into Engineering Business manager.
Ideal candidate profile
Experience you will need,
The successful candidate will be degree qualified in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
You will have the ability to read and interpret technical drawings to perform material take-offs and previous experience in a similar role controlling projects for manufacturing of fabricated equipment.
Knowledge of Solidworks 3D and/or AutoCAD 2D software, welding standards ISO 15614, ASME IX, ISO 9606 and EN 287-1 and quality & safety systems such as ISO 9001, EN1090 and OHSAS 18001 is essential for this role. Further knowledge of BS1113 or EN 12952 design and manufacturing codes would be highly beneficial.
You will be computer literate, highly motivated with strong communication, organisational and multi-tasking skills with will have previous project engineering skills.
Where you'll work,
Veolia UK design and manufacture specialist pressure equipment such as superheaters, boiler walls boiler manifolds and Inconel clad tube for the power generation industries. We also service the water treatment sector carrying various manufacture projects such as water treatment tanks, pipework and access platforms
