Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic, motivated Engineers to work for ENGIE at one of the largest car manufacturers, Mini BMW in Oxford, producing more than 650 customised MINI vehicles daily!
ENGIE are recruiting for a Planner / Scheduler to be based at BMW Oxford Plant. This is a permanent full time role normal working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday. On offer is a salary range of £36 000 - £38 000, dependent upon skills and experience, and benefits package. 

General Overview:
The Planner / Scheduler will manage the overall activity of BMW Oxford and Swindon engineering teams including the Planned PPMs, Reactive and Proactive workflow via PLANON. The Planner / Scheduler will, using the systems and processes, ensure that the correct engineering resource is deployed to achieve first time fixes for customers.  This will range from using site based engineers to subcontractors as appropriate, with the aim of ensuring that the job is attended within the specified SLAs.  Once attendance has been met the Scheduler will also manage the completion of the job as well as ensuring that all parts and materials are accounted for and all required documentation is completed.

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

·  To manage the provision of Management Information and CRM to ensure maximum effectiveness, efficiency and co-ordination of all elements of our service delivery.
·  To continuously explore synergies in order to streamline core administrative & operational functions to achieve an optimised efficient, operational, financial and administrative business.
·  Ensure contractual service information is delivered in such a way that it is possible to identify the agreed SLA’s, KPI’s and quality targets.
·  To work closely with the Asset Manager to identify, develop and ensure the validity of MI for customer reporting and adherence to contract
·  To work closely with the Technical team to drive innovation and ensure compliance with relevant accepted practices and policies.
·  To direct the site activities to ensure that all targets and deadlines are achieved to the required quantity and quality.
·  To ensure that agreed business improvement project objectives are met and that sufficient resource is in place to deliver to the required timescales.
·  To work closely with the Asset Manager to analyse delivery and performance statistics daily and identify/forecast any areas of potentially poor performance in order to agree timely corrective measures.
·  To provide all agreed statistics and reports to agreed deadlines & any other reasonable duties as required.
Specific Responsibilities

·  To schedule all reactive and planned works to appropriate resource, paying attention to location, expertise and response targets.
·  To accurately record all job related information on the appropriate IT systems.
·  To ensure that the engineer days are optimised to drive maximum productivity from the team.
·  Ensure all jobs marked as incomplete by engineers are followed up and reallocated as appropriate.
·  Monitor engineer travel and activity and respond to issues as required.
·  Arrange third party attendance where required, raising appropriate Purchase Orders and Work via the Contract Administrators. Requests and obtaining required completion information.
·  Ensure all jobs are completed within the required response times and costs.
·  Deal with communications in a professional and prompt manner.
·  Ensure non-productive time is accounted for on system.
·  Escalate issues with specific jobs, clients or engineers promptly.
·  Ensure full audit trails are maintained and evidenced where required.
·  To work closely with the Shift Supervisors to manage repairs including planning of resource, materials and parts, access and equipment
·  To Support the Contract Manager / Shift Supervisors to manage Extra Works including planning of resource, materials and parts, access and equipment

Required Qualifications or Experience:


KNOWLEDGE

·  Relevant trade qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience
·  CAFM experience at configuration and super user level
·  Experience of delivering service in a production/manufacturing environment
·  Business: Able to demonstrate detailed knowledge and experience of FM, M&E Maintenance & Building Services
