Job Description
Pay Rate: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour.

Position Purpose:
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
· A variety of basic operational and maintenance tasks relevant to maintaining safe and reliable operations of water treatment and distribution facilities and systems ensuring operational compliance with state and federal regulations.
· Routine cleaning and general housekeeping duties in work and plant areas as assigned. including but not limited to sweeping, dusting, mopping, painting, etc.
· Work outdoors performing water distribution system maintenance functions including the operation and testing of valves, hydrants, meters, etc.
· Ability to understand and carry out written and/or verbal work orders and assignments.
· Ability to perform simple math calculations with the use of a calculator.
· Basic knowledge of fundamentals of chemistry, math principles and hydraulics required.
· Ability to utilize CMMS system to schedule and complete work orders.
· Ability to properly collect water quality samples. test and maintain collection records.
· Actions are controlled by standard work procedures and under direct supervision of others.
· Required to work a pre-determined weekend shift and be available for emergency call-out in rotation with other employees.
Work Environment:
· Work is a scheduled shift.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:
· High School Diploma/GED is required.
· Less than 2 years of experience in Water treatment industry.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Must learn and comply with all safety procedures.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
· Valid Driver's license is required.
