You will be working across the Southern Region operating and maintaining the Water and Wastewater assets.
You will predominantly be based between Tidworth and Aldermaston, however the region covers from Warminster through to Aldershot and Heathrow and Luton airports.
Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 dependant on knowledge and experience plus Veolia benefits *listed below
Hours: Days 40 hours
Some flexibility will be required to provide normal and out of hours cover, including to participate in and out of hours standby callout team on a target of 1 in 4 rota.
What you will do
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team carrying out maintenance activities on Veolia sites across a wide geographical area for our Southern contract.
Take responsibility for planned and breakdown maintenance activities on a wide variety of heavy and light current electrical apparatus across the asset base, including rotating equipment, switchgear, control equipment, building services etc.
To report, diagnose and remedy plant defects, proposing modifications & improvements where appropriate
Liaise and supervise Contractors, issue permits
Liaise with site Maintenance and Operations departments.
On job training of apprentices where appropriate/applicable.
Ideal candidate profile
The experience you will need,
Experience working on instrumentation and control systems
Experience of LV systems and have experience gained in a continuous process industry.
A full UK driving licence
Must have PLC ( programmable logic controller) knowledge and ability to train in computerised maintenance systems.
City and Guilds 2391 and complex trained and /or 17 th Edition trained

Where you'll work
This role covers a wide geographical area across the South of England including
multiple MOD sites and going as far up the country as Luton airport. The majority of
sites will be waste water pump stations, however there are treatment sites in the
region including a new facility coming on line at Heathrow airport. As well as
electrical work there is an expectation that you will help out with the other disciplines
within the team.
