Where you'll work

We have an excellent opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join our Financial Reporting team in London. Our London head office is a modern open plan environment designed to foster an open and collaborative working culture which underpins the way we work at Veolia offering a great opportunity to build a strong internal network, as you carry out your day to day role.

What you'll do

Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, the role holder will be responsible for managing Vector reporting within a specific division of the business including controlling of reporting packages prepared by local accountants and financial controllers, the analytical review of the relevant business activity, preparation of the required consolidation entries and review of disclosures.

You will also be involved in a number of Group-wide processes, including supporting the statutory reporting team and providing support on ad hoc projects, as required. You will also assist in preparing required reporting deliverables as requested by Group Head office.

The above is a brief overview of the role, you may be asked to complete other tasks on an as and when required basis.

Qualifications :

About your Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications;

To be successful for the role you will be a qualified accountant up to two years PQE, or an experienced non-qualified accountant with relevant experience. Good working knowledge of IFRS is required, with previous experience of preparing or auditing IFRS accounts also being beneficial. Strong working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets expected and use of Magnitude add-in, Vlook-ups, data manipulation is preferred. Must have an inquiring and analytical mind, and be able to demonstrate good attention to detail with strong interpersonal skills as required to liaise confidently with other parts of the Business.
