Job Description: Environmental Site Scientist
Location: KDC Manchester
Salary: £25,000 to £35,000 (depending on experience) + Excellent Veolia Benefits + Company Car

What you’ll need,
You will have previous industry experience in contaminated land and remediation contracting. Ideally, you will also have a WAMITAB CoTC Hazardous Waste qualification with an up to date knowledge of EA licensing. You will be passionate about environmental issues with a good understanding of the waste industry, waste classifications and safety procedures. One of your main responsibilities will be supporting site operations to ensure they are managed and are compliant with company environmental procedures and statutory and regulatory legislation.
The successful candidate will have experience of projects where water treatment systems are required. A good understanding of water pumps, tanks and oil water separators is desirable. Main duties will include producing reports, compiling Risk Assessments and Method Statements, assisting with project management, scheduling chemical analysis, ordering supplies and communicating with customers, clients, regulators and colleagues. Hence, excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills are highly desirable.
