Job description

Job Title: Cat C (Rigid) ADR Driver

Position Based: Veolia Norwood,Norwood Industrial Estate, Ellisons Road, Killamarsh S21 2JG

Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday) between 5am-7am starts, plus overtime . Additional work at weekends to suit customer needs.

Salary: £10.87(pending pay review) per hour plus overtime.

Job Purpose

You will be responsible for operating a rigid box vehicle & collecting clinical wheelie bins from hospitals and delivering them to disposal sites. You may also be asked to collect various palletised hazardous waste from customer sites.


To undertake the necessary daily checks as per the Drivers/Operator handbook

To ensure that each day all completed work is detailed on your daily worksheet and that they are handed in daily/weekly along with the daily vehicle check sheets, fuel receipts and Weighbridge tickets

To comply with all traffic laws and legislation with relation to your duties including the security and weight of loads

To confirm to all applicable site rules when off loading at disposal sites.

To carry out any other duties that may be required as directed by your line manager.

Ideal candidate profile

Qualifications :

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Cat C (Class 2) licence and previous driving experience is essential

Driver CPC is essential

ADR licence is preferred, although training will be given to the successful candidate.
