Thermal Systems Bad Rodach is the Headquarter of the Thermal System activities in Northern Europe and Development Center of Thermal Powertrain Product Group (engine cooling products).
We are looking for our plant in Bad Rodach, for the Thermal Powertrain Product Group, a VIE Simulation Engineer for 1D Thermal Simulation.
As an Engineer with technical background you are working on thermal simulation to find the best solutions for the engine cooling systems of vehicles. You are the interface between the German customers and the Valeo project teams in Germany, Poland and France.
If you are speaking English or German fluent besides your technical and thermal expertise and if you are furthermore motivated and team orientated we would like to welcome you in our team.
Your main duties and responsibilities :
- support of the Concept and System Development Teams in Bad Rodach and Bietigheim regarding follow up of R&D projects and simulations on components, like heat exchangers, and on cooling system level for all German and North European car manufacturers,
- setup of 1D-thermal simulation models, simulation and post-processing
- correlation of simulation results with vehicle and component tests as also coordination of 3D-CFD simulations,
- technical presentations to Valeo R+D network and to our customers is in your perimeter.
Your projects will start from advanced development activities with future technologies to the development of the next vehicle generations.
Depending on your personal involvement you could participate on other tasks and develop yours skills.
The mission will be during 12month with possibility of 12month of extension depending on your personal evolution.
Welcomed skills :
- Knowledge of automotive industry and its relevant technologies.
- Knowledge of engine cooling products and cooling systems.
- Knowledge in thermodynamics, aerodynamics and thermal systems.
- Knowledge in 1D thermal simulation, especially Dymola, GT-Cool, Flowmaster or Kuli.
- Knowledge in CATIA V5 would be perfect
Fluent in English and/or in German.
