Job description

My name is Nick Donnelly, I am a feature filmmaker and music video producer:

I run Urban Kingdom, which is one of the fastest growing independent music and film brands in the world.
Starting the company in my early twenties for a £500 budget, I was a former nightclub promotions manager that saw an outlet for a quality over quantity exclusive video brand for real artists to showcase to a concentrated audience that was drifting from other platforms;
our productions have entertained tens of millions of people: we've collaborated with musicians who have sold over 100 million records and worked in over 20 countries, including most recently screening our first film God Save The Queen in Bangkok and New Delhi, in a global initiative of screenings that are to raise money for women's charities around the world.

We were founded in Hip-Hop, producing the first six figure viewed music videos for Krept & Konan and Lady Leshurr, then onto producing videos with Akala, Giggs, Wretch 32, Charlie Sloth and many more in the UK, whilst in the US we worked with 9th Wonder, Freddie Gibbs, Statik Selektah, Murda Mook, Raheem Devaughn, Ruff Ryders, Phil Ade, DJ Yella (NWA) and more. Our new film School of Shaolin features Wu-Tang Clan and Leaf Dog and BVA (The Four Owls).

We have since worked with leading artists in Rock (Suzi Quatro - 50 million records sold) Soul (Martha Reeves - Motown - Dancing in the Street, Nowhere To Run, Heatwave) (Hannah Williams - sampled by Jay-Z on 4.44), Jazz (Lonnie Liston Smith - Miles Davis band, sampled by Jay-Z on 'Dead Presidents) and more.

Our most recent documentary project with Carla-Marie Williams, songwriter of Beyonce 'Freedom', previewed exclusively at Spotify Headquarters last week.

For the next few months we are re-designing and re-launching both our brands for a Third Quarter release and we are taking on a new group of interns, who over an 8 week intense period will learn about research, sales, production and distribution.

I started my venture into this business whilst working two jobs trying to fund a degree, I am very sensitive to the struggles of anyone getting into this business

We do not work from an office, we do not set normal work hours. If you can find time in the week, the same way I could when I was trying to break in, you will be a success with us.

Anyone can apply from aspiring film producers, photographers, A+R's, fashion designers, event managers, graphic designers, traditional artists.... We have major contacts and experience in all these areas.

Thanks for reading, I look forward to reading from everyone, I am different to most media entrepreneurs, I've clawed my way from the bottom with no funding and I know exactly what it takes to be successful in the new generation, not just with marketing, but importantly with value.
