Patient Coordinator - 12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover) based in Leighton Buzzard

£15,264 to £15,910 PER ANNUM

Polar Speed has a reputation for quality, compliance, operational and customer facing technology and monitoring solutions in the growing temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical logistics market in the UK. The company specialises in active temperature-controlled deliveries to hospitals, pharmacies, wholesalers and medical care surgeries as well as to end patients which it serves through its homecare business. Its customers include some of the best known pharmaceutical brands in the world.

This is on a 12 month fixed term contract for maternity cover only. As a Pharmacy Coordinator working within the in-house pharmacy, you’ll be answering the telephone, dealing with queries, inputting data into our computer system, dealing with departmental post and correspondence as well as assisting and liaising with the dispensary. Your responsibilities will also include working within the cold store picking, packing and unpacking deliveries. Working 37.5 hours per week between the hours of 0800 and 1800 on a Monday to Friday basis, you must be flexible and prepared to work additional hours as and when required to meet our service requirements which may be of an urgent medical nature. You will also be expected to cover other areas of work for colleagues if required.

·  Ability to learn detailed internal procedures
·  Excellent organisation skills with ability to prioritise
·  Good team player and able to work on your initiative
·  Good working knowledge of IT packages e.g. Word and Excel
