About the Role:

As the Production Engineer for our Minto factory you will lead the continuous improvement activities, developing the maintenance team to deliver reliability improvements in the processes of making our delicious ice-cream Streets brands such as Cornetto, GayTime & Magnum.

Reporting into the Plant Manager your responsibilities will be broad and hands-on, including:

· Providing technical expertise and analytical input to lead the continuous improvement program ensuring strong sustainable overall equipment efficiency
· Coaching and providing direction to maintenance and production teams including upskilling team members around automation processes and systems
· Increase reliability by improving and delivering the planned maintenance strategy, executing plans that ensure effective utilisation of assets
· Working with the broader engineering team to maintain and improve plant reliability and availability to keep production running at optimum levels.

As a key member of our engineering team you will help to shape a culture of collaboration, safety, quality and continuous improvement making an active contribution to the achievement of site safety, quality productivity and compliance targets.

Whilst this role follows a standard working week, Mon-Fri due to the nature of our factory operation being 24hrs we would expect flexibility in the candidates working hours to meet the needs of the business.

To be successful you will have:

· An engineering qualification in mechatronics or a related field such as mechanical, electrical and/or automation
· Experience in an engineering role, overseeing preventative maintenance programs
· A deep understanding of mechanical issues that can occur within a manufacturing plant combined with the ability to work with maintenance and production teams to resolve challenges
· A strong embedded workplace health and safety, quality & hygiene culture
· An applied understanding of lean manufacturing/six sigma methodology
· Excellent people skills – both managerial and stakeholder interactions
· Exceptional analytical, planning, problem solving and communication skills
