The role

Support Procurement Manager Global Commodities and Risk Management in managing the largest spend on materials, in commodity risk management (trading, market risk, analysis), advising on strategic decisions and contributing to improving costs and efficiencies.

Key Responsibility Areas:

· Support defining Commodity Risk Management (CRM) strategies

· Support managing the largest spend on materials (i.a. oils and fats portfolio)

· Analyse and develop deep understanding of the supply / demand markets, including all external economic factors which influence those markets

· Provide overview of cover policy (coverage) and commodity market movements and define recommendations for hedging opportunities

· Participate in building partnerships with key suppliers on an operational level

· Contribute to heavy value creation agenda, increasing EBITDA and turning around the business

Skills and Experience Required

· Higher professional education / university degree

· Proven and relevant track record in Risk Management and/or oils and fats procurement and/or experience in commercial roles preferably in the leading agricultural commodity trading firms for at least 3 years (ideally Cargill, ADM, Bunge, LDC or other commodity firm)

· Experience in commodity risk management is preferred in this position

· Experience on large-scale change management projects and international assignments is a plus

· Exemplify a high degree of personal integrity and interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills

· Proficient in both verbal and written communication

· Enjoy working in a virtual and multicultural working environment

Reporting Channel, Contacts and Travel:

· Global Commodities and Risk Management Analyst reports to Procurement Manager - Global Commodities and Risk Management

· Internal: Procurement Global and Cluster teams, Supply Chain teams, R&D team, Legal team, Marketing team, Finance business partners

· External: i.a. commercial management and top management of key suppliers, agents / brokers, professional organization, industry bodies and 3PM, NGO’s, advisors and benchmarking organizations

· Travel globally for supplier meetings, industry meetings, project meetings and team meetings. Travel intensity as per job requirements
