MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
To provide multidisciplinary engineering and operations to skills to ensure general maintenance within specific unit of responsibility within prescribed guidelines.

JOB SUMMARY:
· Makes recommendation for continuous improvement and participates in strategic engineering plans to deliver maintenance benefits
· Responsible for focus improvements and breakdowns within unit of responsibility
· Involved in TPM activities. Works within defined Engineering and SHE Policies and Standards
· Engineering: Diagnoses and interprets multi-disciplinary problems (fault finding)
· EM: Reduction of breakdowns and breakdown analysis
· Participates in strategic engineering plans
· Problem Solving and Decision Making: Identifies the major engineering losses and investigates using Kaizen problem solving methodology. (Fishbone, 5 Why etc.)
· Administration: Completes documentation to standard and captures SAP, maintenance and stores information on relevant data system
· SHE: Ensures that Company safety rules and regulations are adhered to maintaining Unilever safety and 5S standards in the area on responsibility
· AM: Draws up, Coaches and develops engineering skills to other maintenance and operational staff using OPL and SOP's
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
· N3 in Mechanical/ Electrical /Instrumental and Trade Test
· 3-5 years Millwright experience in FMCG and Manufacturing
· Experience on high-speed packaging machinery would be advantageous
· Must have a valid driver's license and be flexible within pattern of shift work to accommodate factory shutdowns, training courses etc and emergency cover
