Job Title: IT Analyst – Digital & Marketing

Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job:

The Marketing IT team is the “one face of IT to the business” for the Marketing Function. Responsible for managing and coordinating key global and regional relationships and ensuring that fit for purpose solutions and capabilities are developed, through gaining a deep understanding of business requirements and championing the value of IT to the function. The team owns all aspects of the End-to-End delivery of IT Digital and Marketing Projects from requirements gathering, design and development through to timely delivery of solutions to support the growth and business agenda of Unilever and markets.

This team act as “trusted IT advisors and technical gatekeepers” to marketing, with this role specifically focused on digital expertise. The role acts as a trusted, independent digital advisor to our brands and regularly reviews agency statements of work and progress against plan throughout brand digital projects and works closely with Media, PR, CMI, Shopper Marketing, and a large number of external suppliers on brand projects.

The IT Analyst – Marketing, Singapore is responsible for working closely with Unilever global teams, local teams and solution provides within the management of digital and IT projects and related services in response to the business requirements and demands from the Marketing function. They will provide technology and project management as well as privacy and security expertise and coordination of the digital component of brand marketing plans.

This role will not have direct organizational reports, but may be assigned to lead projects of medium size and complexity.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Takes responsibility for investigative work to determine requirements, and specify effective business processes. Organizes their implementation through improvements in digital and information systems, data management, practices and, organization.

Utilizes business experience and skills to assess and advise on the practicability of alternatives, marrying up technical limitations with operational realities in line with brand digital plans and marketing's functional needs.

To assure the business is aware of upcoming & implemented digital & global capabilities, and to seek opportunities for benefit maximization (usability, exploitation).

Reinforce IT governance, Unilever digital standards and guidelines

Provide technology and project management as well as privacy and security expertise and co-ordination for the digital component of brand marketing plans.

Acts as a trusted, independent advisor and gatekeeper to brands. Regularly reviews agency statements of work and progress against plan throughout brand digital plans. With a supporting advisory role in strategy and planning.

Play a role in partnering the Media, PR, CMI, Shopper Marketing functions within the organisation to deliver the required capability to deliver the business objectives

Maintains expertise & acts as ‘trusted advisor and gatekeeper' in rapid evolving digital technologies and channels including Paid (e.g., media buys, paid search), Owned (e.g., websites, mobile, apps, and email) and Earned media (e.g., Social Media).

Coordinates digital educational initiatives for brands and agencies in conjunction with Media and the Marketing Academy.

Provides digital agency and supplier coordination. With particular focus on building the relationship with these digital agencies and working closely with our strategic third party production partner.

Coordinates the reviewing of digital production capabilities, agency practices related to security and privacy, as well as other general business criteria.

Notifies agencies and brands of security vulnerabilities and ensures proper corrective actions are taken and escalated were needed.
Tracks all projects, actions and improvements through to completion.

Utilizes business experience and skills to assess and advice on technical alternatives, marrying up technical capabilities with consumer expectations and brand objectives.

Applies available standards, methods and tools in an intelligent and effective way, and produces a consistently high standard of documentation of both a technical and a descriptive nature.
Coordinates with DMS resources in other regions to share best practice.

Creates awareness of DMS capabilities and seeks opportunities for benefit maximization (usability, exploitation).

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

Essential:
· In-market knowledge (relevant to the role) of IT and digital landscape, web technologies (content management system, web analytics, SEM, etc.), data marketing (including CRM, call centre systems and processes), etc.
· Digital (web and mobile, etc.) technologies and applications to Digital and Data Marketing, and Analytics
· Project Management in medium scale projects
· Application Systems & Support.
· Application lifecycle management & delivery.
· Problem management & resolution
· Progress reporting


Experience Functional / External:

At least 1-2 years experience in leading IT projects or Marketing related projects (Data Marketing, Digital, Call centre/CRM, Analytics, etc.)
Experience in digital marketing, data, analytics and web technologies
Ability to work with virtual groups and deliver through extended teams

Functional Knowledge:-

Knowledge of both IT, Digital, Data, Analytics, eCommerce, eCRM and Marketing business processes is desirable.
