Job description

MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

• Member of the R&D Dressings UFS Team who will work on dressing projects in UFS handling product, packaging and process development projects

• Work closely with the TPL either as a WSL or team member in delivery of projects

• Deliver product, packaging and process solutions on time, in full, on the regional portfolio of projects – innovation, renovation, regional supply chain and value improvement.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/DELIVERABLES:
· Initiates, designs and conducts research on major and minor projects and programs concerning formula, packaging and process for FS Dressings category. Interprets and reports project results on schedule. Manages complex/diverse programs and project task forces as assigned.
· Identifies and generates new hypotheses and technology in Dressings. Designs and manages research programs to test and verify process validity and their current and long term application.
· Identifies and pursues new business opportunities based on new technology consistent with company goals and objectives; develops appropriate objectives and programs for departmental, divisional or corporate application.
· Maintains relations with personnel in the scientific and technical community so as to remain abreast of the advancing state of packaging and processing. Uses current scientific technology to develop/maintain technical competency. Participates in appropriate seminars, conferences and recognized technical courses relating to areas of specialization.
· Prepares and/or reviews manufacturing procedures, packaging and finished product specifications. Assist in the maintenance of the SAP-PLM
· Needs to be attuned to operators' insights in delivery of the project that is most relevant to customers

OTHER TASKS
· Represents manager or department on specific projects as required at meetings inside and outside R&D Department.
· Represents the region in the S&D PackNet and ProcessNet Communities of Practice.

QUALIFICATIONS
· 2-3 years relevant working experience in a FMCG environment
· Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Food Technology or equivalent in packaging technology with a good blend of practical/demonstrable Engineering knowledge, theoretical scientific understanding, commercial awareness, and good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Must have working knowledge to fully operational capability on packaging technology.
· Must be mobile, willing to travel
