Salary: £27k-£32k depending on experience

KKR are committed to supporting the business' growth ambition, whilst continuing to follow Unilever's responsible sourcing policies , including working towards the goal of sourcing 100 per cent sustainable palm oil by 2019.

Your Role

The Technical & Regulatory Assistant will help the Technical Manager to partner the brand building team and ensure full R&D support to local activities and successful implementation of new / relaunched products in the market.

Your Main Responsibilities: -

· Contributes to and supports the implementation of all product launches and innovation and renovation projects.

· Responsible for compliance of new or relaunched products with mandatory policies and relevant EU and local legislation and is responsible for the approval of legal packaging texts in relation to Unilever policies and EU and local legislation.

· Responsible for the preparation and approving of the L-CON specification that is the basis for legal text on product packaging for the allocated categories.

· Approval of all primary and secondary artwork tasks, ensuring compliance to FIC and other EU legislation.

· Input of local needs into BU led projects (eg. distribution/usage conditions, secondary packaging requirements, local consumer needs). Supporting implementation of all type of projects for UK (eg. 1st production sample approval, link to QA and careline)

· Knowledge based selling, to activate our products with the trade (in co-operation with the R&D BU team). Gives support to marketing in Brand activations, promotions, demonstrations.

· Together with local QA, is active in complaint Management through monitoring issues and recommending/implementing corrective action and supports Careline.

Skills and Experience Required:

· Bachelor degree in Food technology, Food Law, Food Chemistry, or related disciplines.

· Understanding of product design, process and ingredients

· Structured, systematic and logical in thinking and in doing

· Ability to recognize patterns and develop innovative solutions.

· Very good oral and written communication skills

· Communication, interaction and networking skills

· Skill in use of Microsoft Office applications.

· Specification management systems/databases. Artwork approval process or similar is welcomed.
