SALARY: £31,600 - £39,500 depending on experience, plus excellent benefits including bonus, 25 days holiday, Unilever pension scheme, Bupa healthcare, free on-site gym, discounted products, etc.

MAIN JOB PURPOSE

The eCommerce Experience Insight Assistant Manager will support the delivery of the global eCommerce experience agenda as part of the global eCommerce experience team based out of Leatherhead.

The mission of the Shopping & eCommerce Insight Centre of Excellence (SEI COE) is to develop an understanding of customer behaviour (specifically ecommerce for this role) and make transformational actions, by converting the knowledge gained into opportunities to enhance our market growth. The vision is to build shopping insights that are the envy of our competitors, the inspiration of our partners (Customer Development / Marketing) and are assets in partnerships with our customers.

The eCommerce experience team focuses on delivering an enhanced understanding of how people shop online and using this knowledge to improve our ecommerce offerings.

JOB SUMMARY

· The SEI COE team will lead / run / support ad hoc research on understanding shopping behaviour – from user experience testing, to assessing decisions at “shelf” for the different Beauty & Personal Care categories and across the different channels, and research projects on to deliver CD 2020 strategic thrusts
· Develop & execute the research plan and the projects within it as required in partnership and consultation with the global eCommerce Shopping experience Insight manager.
· Help the organisation to understand the online shopping activity of customers, and demonstrate the difference in how they shop to how they think that they shop, and how to improve our online retail channels
· Support shaping and landing strategies with key customers & channel owners. This includes meetings & presentations of insights & findings to key customers, CD, Marketing, and CCD CMI
· Advise CD and Category teams on changing shopping behaviours to help inform “where to play” and “how to win”
· Detect & understand Customer Development (CD) needs and business questions to transform them into relevant research questions
· Contribute to Trade story building for different categories
· Present to key stakeholders/customers & channels
· Raise the voice of the shopper to impact the business in areas of activation.
· Roll out global methodologies & learnings locally from the Global CMI Shopping eCommerce Insight team supported by the Regional / Cluster Shopping Insights team
· Make insights travel! Share best practices and insights applicable to different countries / regions, from across the region and from around the world
· Deliver the SEI COE plan as set in conjunction with the eCommerce experience Manager
· Actively participate and contribute to the CMI Shopping & eCommerce Insight tribe forum, and cascade output from the same to the markets.
· Actively participate in the global Shopping & eCommerce Insight meeting
· Track & share Shopper & Channel trends

KEY REQUIREMENTS

· Previous experience of market research
· Experience of ecommerce and an understanding of shopper marketing would be beneficial
· Good communication and presenting skills
· Basic understanding of retail & channel landscape
· Interest in human behaviour / psychology
· Able to lead projects
· Basic analytical skills
