SALARY: Up to £39,500 base salary, plus 25 days holiday, bonus, Unilever pension scheme, Bupa healthcare, free on-site gym, free ice-cream, discounted Unilever products, etc.

MAIN JOB PURPOSE

An opportunity has arisen for a talented and driven Assistant Brand Manager to join the Female Deodorants team working on one of Unilever's most iconic brands e.g. Sure or Impulse.

The successful candidate will be a key figure in driving the growth agenda for Female deodorants in UK & Ireland.

Key responsibilities include the execution of the brand commercial strategy towards the agreed sales and financial targets, as well as ample opportunities to support the Senior Brand Manager in the activation of the brand marketing plans. This role has high visibility within the business, ideally suited for an experienced Assistant Brand Manager with a strong track record in local marketing roles and on a medium-term trajectory to progress to a brand manager level.

JOB SUMMARY

· Assist the Senior Brand Manager in managing the P&L, including volume forecast, monthly reporting and management of the brand marketing budget, across the UK & Ireland.
· Analyse market performance & track innovations, leading to concrete action plans and feeding the insights through the business.
· Execute the brand commercial strategy to deliver share winning plans and best-in-class execution in store. In doing so, you will be working alongside the sales, category management and shopper marketing teams.
· Support the Senior Brand Manager on NPD launches, collaborating with Global teams to co-create the mix and influencing to ensure the proposition is right for the UK&I consumer.
· Lead the activation of local marketing campaigns, collaborating effectively with a complex and large network of internal stakeholders and external agency partners.
· Be responsible for creating a relevant content calendar in Social and PR for our target audience. Work with external agency to create and deliver relevant brand partnerships that support core activations.
· Lead digital presence in search and e-commerce, in-line with the most recent guidelines and delivering tangible results within the agreed budget.
· Lead marketing activations in Ireland.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

· Previous experience as Assistant Brand Manager in a local marketing role
· Understanding of the UK retailer environment and commercial strategies
· Proven project management and analytical skills
· Team player, able to form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and confidence to work in virtual teams
· A keen interest in fitness is preferred but not essential
· ‘Can do' attitude and high bias for action

The role is based in the Unilever UK office in Leatherhead, although frequent travel to central London is expected for agency meetings (once a week). Infrequent travel within UK and Ireland will also be required (bi-monthly), with some overnight stays required.
