Overview
This is an opportunity for a student or graduate with an interest in content writing and web copywriting to develop valuable skills and knowledge.

Terms
• Length of programme: 7 weeks
• Dates: From Monday 7th January 2019 to Friday 22nd February 2019
• Working hours: Flexible, work when you want, as long as targets for pages are achieved
• Paid/Unpaid: Unpaid
• Location: Working from home/remotely (you will need your own computer)

About the Internship Programme – You get the opportunity to:
• Learn and develop your wordpress skills in a business context
• Practice using google sheets, specifically how to use it to collaborate with others
• Build your knowledge and experience of web copywriting, something that is very different and distinct from off-line copywriting
• Develop and improve your knowledge of on-page SEO
• Learn first-hand how to work and communicate in a 21st century, remote-based business (all our team work from remote locations across the planet)
• Practice using remote communication and collaboration tools (slack, google sheets, skype, whatsapp etc.) in a business context to communicate with other team members as if they were in the office

Main Duties
You will be working remotely (from home, or perhaps the local Starbucks!) alongside a small marketing team and the CEO to help build and develop the UK Language Project website.
The main tasks will involve:
• Adding written content to pages already created on the site which currently have no written content on
• Keeping track of updates to the pages via a google sheet
• Communicating with CEO and marketing team as required if you need help or have questions or queries

About You
Due to the requirements of the site, you must be a British English native-speaker.
No specific qualifications or experience are required for this as full training will be given. However, you will stand out if you can demonstrate the following in your CV and cover letter:
• Interest in and desire to improve web copywriting and SEO skills and knowledge for your future career
• Interest in working remotely and communicating in a 21st century workplace (using slack, whatsapp, skype, google sheets etc.)
• Interest in flexible working. There are no set days/hours for this role but you will be expected to create a certain number of pages each week

Learning Objectives
By the end of this 7 week internship you will be able to:
• Create and upload written content to wordpress
• Create sales copy for a commercial website
• Use google sheets to track progress
• Communicate with remote-based colleagues using a variety of tools
• Work successfully in a remote-based business
• Manage your own time and schedule effectively

Upon completing the programme we will provide a full letter of reference, signed by the CEO, detailing what has been learned. You will also be able to add us as a reference when applying for future roles in this industry.
