Join a dynamic legal team, working on a variety of innovative legal issues! 

 

Ubisoft is looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to join our growing Legal team.  This role will act as commercial counsel, providing legal support to Ubisoft’s business teams in the U.S., Canada and Latin America.  The role is based in San Francisco and reports to Ubisoft’s Senior Legal Counsel.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

 

·  Review, draft and negotiate agreements for a wide variety of third-party contractual relationships, including services, sales, advertising, licensing, distribution and manufacturing agreements
·  Advise on a wide range of legal issues, with a focus on marketing, advertising, media/content rights and intellectual property
·  Provide strategic and practical advice to Ubisoft’s business teams, summarizing and communicating legal concepts that business people can use
·  Develop and implement legal guidelines, policies and processes, and conduct internal training's on such
·  Remain current on relevant industry standards, laws, and regulations
·  Collaborate with other legal team members, and cross functional stakeholders, to support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

 

·  JD degree from an accredited law school, and a member of the California State Bar
·  3-5 years experience of relevant experience, either in-house and/or at a law firm, with a focus on media, advertising, marketing and intellectual property laws
·  Experience working on multiple different projects simultaneously
·  Experience building consensus across cross-functional stakeholders
·  Comfortable and adept at balancing legal risk and thinking creatively to affect business needs
·  Team oriented with excellent judgment and a sense of humor

·  Experience working for an international public company
·  Experience in the entertainment industry, especially digital entertainment
