We are creating a brand-new team to work on an unannounced AAA VR project . You will work on cutting-edge VR technology, on one of Ubisoft’s great IP’s, developed across multiple studios. Join us today to shape the future of VR!

We are looking for a Senior General Programmer (f/m/d)   to be the main point of contact for the technical design and technical architecture of our game as well as single features. This also includes mentoring and reviewing the work of team members to ensure the best code quality and continuous development of the team skills.

 

This is a full-time position based in Düsseldorf, Germany which requires working onsite.

 

·  7+ years of development experience and shipped at least two AAA titles
·   A passion for VR; Experience in VR is a bonus
·  Master, Bachelor or equivalent in computer science or engineering (desirable)
·  Strong programming skills in C#
·  Strong experience with Unity
·  Proficient in refactoring and optimizing existing systems
·  Excellent debugging and problem solving skills
·  Understanding of multi-threaded principles
·  Ability to work efficiently with a large, existing code base
·  Knowledge of low level system architecture
·  Knowledge of software development environments and associated tools. (i.e. Visual Studio, Perforce, JIRA)
·  Strong reporting and documentation skills
·  Fluent in English, both verbally and written
·  Great communication skills and a positive attitude

 

Responsibilities:

·  Be the main point of contact for the technical design and technical architecture of the game and single features
·  Mentor and regularly the work of the team members to ensure a top-notch code quality
·  Design, implement, maintain and optimize game and engine systems in C#
·  Identify risks and opportunities presented during the development and provide solutions to resolve potentially complex problems
·  Assist the Lead Programmer with hiring and interview processes
