YOUR JOURNEY 

As Ubisoft Asia and Middle East DPO, you will support all of our teams located in Asia and the Middle East by putting your expertise at the service of their creativity, their willingness to innovate and the ongoing quest for the confidence of our players, consumers and employees in Ubisoft's use of their personal data. 

Within Ubisoft's legal department and with a direct report to the Global DPO, you will participate in the creation of an innovative and privacy-friendly environment in compliance with regulations and team needs.  

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

Pushing the limits of imagination and technology, your main missions will be: 

· 
Support the main PC, consoles and mobile game production teams from a personal data perspective in Asia and the Middle East 

· 
Support the local teams with a "privacy by design" approach, particularly those in charge of local partnerships, online advertising, the e-commerce site for the area, data analysis, management of Ubisoft accounts, the innovation laboratory in China, teams in charge of playtests, etc. 

· 
Draft information notices and privacy policy from a legal design perspective 

· 
Negotiate the personal data aspects of partners contracts  

· 
Animate and maintain the network of Privacy Champions designated within Ubisoft's teams located in Asia and the Middle East 

· 
Carry out internal trainings (face-to-face, online trainings or in any innovative form) 

· 
Contribute to the development of the Ubisoft’s accountability (e.g. privacy impact assessments) 

· 
Conduct audits of the procedures and processes implemented by Ubisoft 

· 
Participate in maintaining the data register of all data held by Ubisoft (e.g., player data, HR data, marketing data, customer data) 

· 
Represent Ubisoft with the local authorities in conjunction with local Corporate Affairs teams 

· 
Monitor and anticipate regulations and their impact on the world of Entertainment  

WHAT YOU BRING 

· 
Extensive years of experience providing practical expert advice on the interpretation and application of regulations governing the use of personal data (GDPR, Asian Data protection laws and regulations) and regulations relating to young players 

· 
An awareness of privacy and data protection laws (and associated regulatory frameworks) in other relevant jurisdictions including China, Vietnam, India and Thailand 

· 
Strong commitment to uphold ethical standards and maintain your professional integrity 

· 
Championed and promoted behaviour change (focused on building an effective privacy and data protection compliance culture) within a large, complex, multi-site organisation 

· 
Ability to anticipate and respond to a range of privacy and data protection compliance challenges (including changes to the law, new regulatory guidance, emerging technologies, etc.) and work with colleagues &/or partners to identify pragmatic cost-effective solutions  

· 
Evaluated systems and working practices associated with the processing of personal and recommended corrective actions required to achieve compliance with relevant privacy and data protection legislation/policies 

· 
A strong and effective communicator (and respectfully) with data subjects, regulators, commercial partners and other external stakeholders irrespective of national boundaries and cultures 

· 
Able to communicate and negotiate effectively with colleagues at all levels of an organisation and can influence decision-making by linking compliance requirements to business objectives and outcomes.
