Ubisoft Bordeaux

Created in September 2017, Ubisoft Bordeaux is the newest of Ubisoft French studios, working on iconic brands such as Just Dance, Ghost Recon, Beyond Good & Evil and the Raving Rabbids. About fifteen Ubisoft experts from all over the world have joined the studio to share their energy and their passion to join this new adventure!

 Announced as AAA studio production, Ubisoft Bordeaux is growing rapidly and will eventually reach 200 employees. As of today, the team already counts 90 talents from more than 12 different nationalities.

As a Character Artist in Ubisoft Bordeaux Studio, you will work on an AAA game and work on the following tasks:

·  Work with the Character Art team to create photo-realistic, detailed character designs and assets to be used within a game engine
·  Produce models according to the Lead’s directives to understand better their limits and deadlines
·  Become familiar with graphic references to understand the artistic director’s intentions
·  Create efficient and rig friendly low polygon models for the game integration
·  Create PBR textures and efficient UV’s
·  Skin characters before export.
·  Revise your work according to the feedback received from Lead Artist and Art Director and make revisions in a timely manner
·  Export models and textures into engine and make sure they work correctly
·  A minimum 3-5 years’ experience in game development modelling and texturing highly realistic characters in video games industry
·  Exceptional understanding of human anatomy, and clothing and a keen eye towards form, shape, structure, and silhouette in regards to modelling
·  Superior eye for color and detail in creating texture maps especially through the normal map and PBR techniques
·  Passionate about video games
·  Mastery in low-poly modelling techniques
·  Fluent English and ability to collaborate in an international team
·  Expert user in Zbrush, 3ds Max, Marvelous Designer and Substance Painter, or similar.
