Job Activities and missions:
TEP UK has extensive North Sea Production Assets (Northern North Sea, Central Graben, and West of Shetland), supported by further Development Opportunities. Although an industry leader in several areas (e.g. HP/HT, long distance subsea tie-back) it is important that all Oil & Gas Technology Innovations are captured within the Basin and communicated effectively.
This VIE role will support the Head of Technological Innovation in the process of Technology Development within TEP UK, ensuring that required resources are identified to complete agreed projects/studies in order to maximise the value of existing and future assets.
The role requires an individual to be flexible, self motivated, have an entrepreneurial passion towards the adoption of new technologies whilst being able to communicate the long term vision and roadmap for its commercialisation.
?Key Activities are thought to include:
- Develop and maintain a formalised Technology Road Map process to establish the key ‘’Technology Gaps’’ in relation to future developments in the 3 Assets. The Road Map forms a key input to the annual Long Term Plan as well as The OGA Regulatory Stewardship Survey. The Technology Road Map will be a continuous monitoring process for TEP UK and should be extended to other future core areas as needed.
- Develop and maintain, on a continual basis, the Corporate Technology Plan in order to fill the Technology Gaps identified in the Road Map, allowing TEP UK to maximise the potential development of its assets. The Plan includes: buying/use of technology, launching new R&D projects and/or contracting/recruitment of personnel to lead the proposed initiatives. The technology implied must visibly help to reduce the Capital and Operating costs associated with TEP UK development, bring additional hydrocarbon reserves or accelerate production.
- Develop Business Cases for specific subjects of importance for management decision.

The selected candidate will receive a VIE allowance according to the Business France rates and the subsidiary will provide either a furnished accommodation or will grant an accommodation allowance.
