Job Description

Within the Gas & Renewables & Power Division, the Operations Team is seeking to reinforce its LNG Spot Contract team in a context of growing activity.
Spot Contract Management team is crucial in the trading organisation and requires a reliable and effective staff.

As a LNG Trading Contract Analyst, you will be working with LNG traders closely and coordinating all aspects of the post-deal trading activity from trade inception to completion, which typically include:
·  Managing spot deals after the signature
·  Assisting traders from Geneva and Singapore teams after deal is done for physical constraints adaptation and legal compliance
·  Handling nominations of ports, vessel and delivery windows of LNG cargoes in accordance with the traders and the team in charge of the optimization of the schedule
·  Adapting to physical and contractual constraints till deal is completed
·  Assisting other teams as necessary (Traders, Portfolio Optimization, Contract Managers, Shipping Operations, Back-Office, Middle-Office, Compliance)  
·  Liaising with counterparties
·  You are the main entry point with the counterparties after deal signature
·  Ensuring a smooth realisation of the deal with the counterparty
·  Making sure counterparty’s deal understanding is aligned with Total
·  Liaising with counterparty in case of issues on the scheduling on our side and propose solution  
·  Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
·  Managing counterparties requests for change on the deal (port, delivery windows, vessel compliance, LNG specifications) within the contractual framework
·  Handling legal litigation with the counterparties in case of failure to complete the contract accordingly (demurrages, change in the schedule…)
·  Reporting to management and traders in case of major problems
·  Maintaining accurate records of each cargo including prompt and accurate filing

Candidate profile

You have a High level’s Degree (Engineer, Business Scholl or equivalent).
This position is opened to junior person with ability to fast learning.
Your good communication skills will be appreciated (both orally and in writing).
You have excellent IT, analytical and Excel skills.
You have ability to work under pressurized environment.
You are familiar to build business relationships at all levels. 
You are rigorous, reactive, organized and attentive to details.
You are showing initiatives and have technically and commercially minded.
You also have ability to work as part of a team and individually with minimal supervision.
Fluent English is required for this position and French is an asset.

Context and environment

In a newly set-up division based in Geneva,LNG Trading Contract Analyst has a key role to play internally, ensuring that the front to back process runs smoothly. It is a good start to discover the LNG commercial field and could lead to positions like long-term contract management, portfolio management, trading…or to other trading operator positions for other commodities.
