Profil du candidat

·  You have an engineering or doctoral training in the field of renewable energies or physics/chemistry. You have knowledge of technical economic analysis and/or life cycle analysis.
·  You have an appetite for cutting-edge technological solutions.
·  You have initial experience including cost assessments (CoO, LCOE) and/or environmental study with life cycle analysis.
·  Knowledge of PV technologies and/or PV cell manufacturing processes is an additional asset.
·  Knowledge of photovoltaic systems is a plus.
·  As part of an international team, you are fluent in both English and French.

IPVF is looking for an Engineer in Techno-economic Analysis and Environmental Assessment specialized in photovoltaic (PV) technologies for a fixed-term contract of 36 months. His/her missions are part of the COMPASS program, allowing technical-economic studies and life cycle analysis of photovoltaic technological solutions. TotalEnergies  is associated as part of programs of excellence to support new energies for decarbonization.

The position is based in Paris-Saclay.

As an Engineer in Techno-economic Analysis and Environmental Assessment , your main responsabilities will be:

·  Carry out technical-economic analyzes and technological cost calculations (CoO, LCOE, etc.).
·  Evaluate the maturity of technologies developed at IPVF and identify obstacles that may block the industrialization process.
·  Assess the potential for commercialization of processes and technologies developed at IPVF (e.g. perovskites, III-V and tandem technologies).
·  Carry out life cycle analyzes and determine the environmental footprint of the technological solutions identified.
·  Perform sensitivity analyzes to identify critical environmental factors and validate solutions to optimize environmental impact.
·  Identify recycling routes and increase the recyclability of the solutions studied, by considering recycling and reuse strategies.
·  Collaborate with the different members of the program to refine the technical-economic analyzes and the environmental impact of the different solutions to take advantage of each member’s expertise.
·  Collaborate with partners of different projects through consortia.
·  Publish the results in renowned journals and participate in conferences/workshops, etc.
·  Contribute to program reporting.

IPVF (Institut Photovoltaïque d’Île-de-France), the Photovoltaic Institute of Île-de-France, institute for energy transition, is a scientific and technical center dedicated to the research and development of solar technologies. On its site located in Paris-Saclay, it brings together its own staff, employees of its partners and those of external companies.

The primary objective of the IPVF is to improve the performance and competitiveness of photovoltaic cells and to develop disruptive technologies by relying on four levers:

·  An ambitious research program;
·  The reception, on its Paris-Saclay site, of more than 200 researchers and their laboratories;
·  A cutting-edge technological platform (8,000 m²) open to players in the photovoltaic sector;
·  A training program mainly based on a master's degree, supervision of doctoral students, and continuing education.
