Duties and Responsibilities

·        Shoplifter Apprehensions

o   Adheres to established shoplifter guidelines (i.e. elements of proof, nonviolence policy)

o   Observes and apprehends any acts of dishonesty from outside sourcing

o   Ensures apprehensions are consistent with store theft activity

o   Completes and distributes paperwork in an accurate and timely manner

o   Maintains appropriate evidence

o   Acts in a professional manner with third party partners

o   Demonstrates an understanding of law enforcement procedures

·        Partnerships

o   Provides prompt and courteous service to the internal and external customers

o   Communicates shrink related concerns to management during meetings as well as on an “as-needed” basis

o   Coordinates and executes shrink impact activities in partnership with management (locker checks, closing procedures, etc.)

o   Supports all of the store shrink reduction programs.

·        Associate Dishonesty

o   Encourages associate use of company shrink prevention resource programs (i.e. TipLine, Associate awareness training)

o   Participates in investigations and surveillances as assigned

o   Recognizes suspicious behavior and conducts investigations

o   Provides thorough and timely communication to supervisor

·        Assigned duties

o   Maintains loss prevention office and equipment

o   Completes all administrative tasks related to cases

o   Travel required (at times) for changes in external and internal activity

 

Requirements

·        A desire to learn about Retail Loss Prevention

·        The ability to work independently

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·        Experience in retail Loss Prevention/Store Operations or a Criminal Justice background is a plus, but NOT a requirement. Our training program will give you the skills to succeed
