Engineered Plastics is a leading full line distributor and fabricator of industrial plastic shapes, adhesive products, rapid prototyping materials, and high pressure laminates, specializing in engineering plastics for the fabricator and OEM communities. The company operates over twelve warehouse locations and 13 sales offices in the United States, structured around local distribution service centers providing fast, efficient delivery to their customers. Their value-added processing system is customer-based, designed to give salespeople the tools they need to quickly and accurately process orders. Your responsibilities

Summary of Position:

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for the development of profitable sale of thyssenkrupp Engineered Plastics products within assigned territory through contacts, inquires, services, advertising, and correspondence. The Sales Engineer is also responsible for continuous development of prospect or potential users of company line machine tool products and accessories.

Key Accountabilities:

·  Identify future sales opportunities by understanding the market and analyzing data to ensure all efforts are focused on the right opportunities.
·  Develop and implement a yearly sales plan for the given territory that will be consistent with the company sales goals.
·  Evaluate current and prospective customers potential engineering and manufacturing needs
·  Support the manufacturing group as needed to facilitate their success in meeting customer expectations but not limited to coordinating engineering changes, negotiating price or delivery changes and managing customer concerns
·  Service existing accounts, establishes new accounts and obtain orders
·  Schedule appointments and travel throughout assigned territory
·  Follow up on leads through company initiatives
·  Build and maintain good working relationships with customers to ensure achievement of sales volume, profit margin, and firm growth
·  Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
·  Enlist the support of sales specialists, implementation resources, and other sales and management resources as needed.
·  Conduct training sessions on product and services with both customers and thyssenkrupp Engineered Plastics employees.
·  Recommend additions/deletions to product catalogue and company services.
·  Continually increase knowledge of company products, services and procedures.

Your profile

Minimum Requirements:

·  Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent technical experience
·  Experience selling Machined Parts
·  Knowledge of CNC Machining and understanding of milling practices and processes
·  Well-developed interpersonal, communication and customer-service skills
·  Minimum 3-5 years sales experience in manufacturing or milling industry.

Preferred Requirements:

·  Experience in the plastics industry
·  Experience selling to the defense, industrial, medical, transportation or food industry
·  Experience developing and growing a sales territory
