thyssenkrupp Presta North America is a global leader in automotive components technology and the leading steering systems supplier for the automotive industry. thyssenkrupp Presta North America provides the industry with high-quality manual and electric steering columns, rack and pinion steering gears, and electric power assisted steering gears. thyssenkrupp Presta North America is part of the thyssenkrupp Presta AG group, headquartered in Eschen, Liechtenstein. In 2003, our manufacturing facility was established in the South Industrial Park of Terre Haute, Indiana. Beginning with just one assembly line, a handful of employees and 58,000 square feet, the company has grown to over 450 employees and 224,000 square feet. In addition, we have an office on northeast side of Indianapolis where the Procurement and Supplier Development Department, Business Development and Product Engineering are now located. We have a third location in Troy, Michigan which houses our Sales Engineering, Logistics Distribution Center for USA, and Customer Resident Engineering.

Your responsibilities

Responsible for assigned project tasks in Column EPS development. Column EPS application for US customer. On-site technical analysis and problem solving with the support of international project/development team for electronic and SW related topics. Support to ensure time and cost optimal realization of the Project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·  Participate in project acquisition by supporting the analysis of the electronic and SW related product requirements
·  Support the project manager to achieve design, time, cost, and quality targets
·  On-site problem solving and problem resolution during development, prototype delivery and product launch (Vector CANap/CANoe tools)
·  Create simple scripts for CAN gateway (Vector CANap/CANoe tools)
·  Support configuration management and track changes during development phase
·  Support continuous product optimization
·  Prepare decisions therefore analysis and illustrate available data

Your profile

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:

·  Master or Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or computer science
·  Entry level candidates are welcome
·  Experience with embedded systems in automotive or other industry
·  Technical knowledge and hands on experience with real-time embedded SW and HW architectures
·  Experience with safety critical embedded systems is an added plus

Computer and Technology Skills:

·  Office applications like MS Office
·  Programing and/or scripting skills (C / C++ / python / CAPL / MATLAB / Simulink)
·  Experience with Vector CANape/CANoe tools or similar
·  Experience in automotive tool-chain for mechatronic components is an added plus (e.g. DOORS, PLM)
