Your responsibilities

thyssenkrupp Aerospace NA is looking for a Maintenance Technician I , who will be inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment. You will also be performing various facilities maintenance activities. You will also be working alongside a diverse group of people.

To be considered for this Job, you MUST have:

·  Strong electrical schematics knowledge desirable
·  Demonstrate mechanical and technical aptitude
·  3-5 years experience in an industrial, maintenance environment
·  College degree or certificate in a technical area or related field
·  Good interpersonal and communication skills
·  Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
·  Might require assistance from supervisor or lead
·  Ability to use basic measurement instruments such as tape measure, scales, and gauges
·  Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 40 lbs
·  Ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems
·  Basic computer knowledge to complete data entry
·  Obtain and maintain current certification to operate material handling equipment such as, forklift, side-loader, 4-directional lift, or cherry picker

Your profile

You’ll be responsible for:

·  Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and similar problems on machinery/equipment and perform timely repairs
·  Establish appropriate frequency and perform regular preventive maintenance activities on a limited amount of equipment in the facility
·  Perform timely facility/building maintenance and minor repairs, and maintain a clean and safe work area
·  Dismantle defective machines/equipment and install new or repaired equipment
·  Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and repairs
·  Coordinate and make recommendations on work-related contracts and services
·  Supervise outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance
·  Participate, support, and comply with all Health, Safety, Quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements
·  Complete all job duties in a manner that does not put him/herself or other individuals in an unsafe situation and wear all PPE (personal protective equipment) when required
