Logistics/Warehouse Supervisor

thyssenkrupp System Engineering, Inc. develops, designs, manufactures and supplies turn-key powertrain assembly systems and car body systems including gauging and testing technology for the worldwide automotive manufacturers and their subcontracting industry.

Your responsibilities

• You will oversee the logistics team, warehousing activities, and shipping/receiving team and activities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• You will continuously coordinate materials planning, assembly, and project core teams for timely material payouts across multiple projects.
• You will plan and forecast logistics activities and priorities and establishes manpower requirements based on upcoming workloads.
• You will ensure and be responsible for proper identification and disposition of inbound materials.
• You will maintain control of plant stock and customer stock material until time of payout
• You will coordinate all trucking activity for inbound/outbound shipments, including international shipments focusing on proper execution of import/export regulations.
• You will assign your team work/tasks based on priorities and enforce all company policies, including safety policies for the team.

Your profile

Other Skills and/or Abilities
• Must have past supervision experience in a warehouse environment
• You must be proficient in SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Must have a working knowledge of global/international shipping requirements (import/export), paperwork requirements, customs interfacing experience, Harmonized Tariff System (HTS)/ Schedule B in accordance with 49 CFR.
• Must have training in transportation of hazardous materials or dangerous goods per US DOT Regulations
• Must have working knowledge of FMCSA relating to managing company shipping vehicles.
• Should possess demonstrated professional attitude and excellent customer service skills.
