Your responsibilities

thyssenkrupp Elevator Americas is currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our world class team in Los Angeles, CA .

Essential duties and responsibilities:

·  Drives sales growth with new key accounts customers by building strong customer relationships with decisions makers; includes networking with customers, consultants and building managers and associates. Expected to annually increase overall share of portfolios by monthly maintenance revenue added; specific amount determined by District Vice President
·  Maintains a consistent and superior brand identity when making sales presentations, proposals, and preparing bids. Identifies areas of sales-skill opportunities using SSD I, II, III & IV concepts. Includes successfully explaining cost factors while emphasizing the features and benefits of developing a relationship/partnership with the Company
·  Reviews proposed contracts and bids with district and branch management for completeness and accuracy, ensuring that contracts will be profitable. Includes working closely with district management to develop pricing strategies and creating synergies between service, repair and modernization sales
·  Exceeds sales goals and quotas by utilizing company tools. Includes using CRM to manage all facets of customer interaction. Includes keeping timely, well organized records of sales activities including but not limited to proposals, bookings, losses and cancellations
·  Develops and presents TKPlans for large campuses to maximize repair and modernization opportunities with key account.
·  Receives and responds to written and oral questions related to quoted bids and contracts. Includes performing follow-up on all RFPs
·  Maintains a strong working knowledge of company products by attending company training classes, and studying factory equipment manuals and supplier information. Includes developing knowledge of local code requirements
·  Upon customer’s acceptance, coordinates contract roll-out packages through the branch approval process.
·  Visits building sites and works with local branch to ensure customers’ needs are being met along with all contractual obligations
·  Other duties as assigned

Your profile

·  Bachelor’s degree preferred; or two to five+ years sales experience in the elevator industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
·  Ability to read and interpret architectural and/or blueprint/drawings
·  Requires travel up to 25%
