Materials Services - With 480 branches in 40 countries the Business Area Materials Services concentrates on the worldwide trade of raw material and construction material. Coal, metals, gases, plastics in all shapes, qualities and dimensions as well as complex supply-chain solutions- this is for what this Business Area stands for.

AIN Plastics is a leading full line distributor and fabricator of industrial plastic shapes, adhesive products, rapid prototyping materials, and high pressure laminates, specializing in engineering plastics for the fabricator and OEM communities. The company operates over twelve warehouse locations and 13 sales offices in the United States, structured around local distribution service centers providing fast, efficient delivery to their customers. Their value-added processing system is customer-based, designed to give salespeople the tools they need to quickly and accurately process orders. The company’s nationwide logistics system allows next-day delivery to the majority of customers in North America.

Your responsibilities

Summary of Position:
Direct, lead and supervise the sales and operational efforts and functions of employees within
the branch or division towards the accomplishment of profit goals. Create a safe and
comfortable working environment that will promote customer service and motivate employees
to surpass customer expectations. Devise a system of continual improvement that will
encompass or include every function of the company.

Key Accountabilities:
· Create a profitable environment to improve cycle time for plastics users in the respective
region.
· Create an environment to attract and motivate employees to help service, meet or
exceed customer expectations.
· Maintain an acceptable and profitable turnover of inventory such to help our customers
meet or exceed their customer’s demands.
· Profitably maintain equipment and make profitable recommendations for the purchase of
new equipment to more efficiently process customer’s orders.
· Maintain and enhance a system to encourage, accept and process customer orders and
inquiries.
· Create an environment among all employees in the region such to promote a system of
ongoing improvement for all products and processes.
· Create an environment to encourage/demand customers for payment of product and
services within 30 days.
· Investigate and analyze all products and processes to determine if more profitable results
are available.
· Create an environment of open communication for all employees
· Ensure operations conforms with all legal provincial and federal regulations
· Meets TKMNA Employee Attributes/Competencies

Minimum Requirements:
· BBA in Operations Management, Sales, Supply Chain, or other related field
· Knowledge of TQM, ISO 9001: 2000
· Computer literate
· Acquainted with finance for non-financial managers
· Strategic selling and time management.

Preferred Requirements:
· Completion/working towards MBA
· Engineered Plastics training and/or experience
· Leadership training
· Team building experience
· Training in strategic planning and motivation
· 1 year inside sales; 3 years outside sales; 1-2 year operations experience
