Based in Peterborough

We're looking for an Assistant Buyer to be based at our UK&I Head Office in Peterborough. This is a key position in the Procurement Team supporting on a range of complex projects within Marketing & Logistics. You'll be assisting our Buyers and Procurement Managers in mapping current and future spend, conducting analysis of spend, scanning the market and challenging the status quo as well as gaining a comprehensive understanding of our suppliers in order to maximise performance and efficiencies.

What will you bring to the role?

·  Degree or similar ideally within the Procurement or Digital Marketing arena is highly desirable
·  Experience gained in a fast paced Procurement environment is essential
·  Strong organisational and time management skills
·  Ability to challenge the status quo and see the wider holistic picture
·  Negotiation and influencing skills
·  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
·  Financially literate with the ability to understand profit and loss accounts and balance sheets
·  Preferably working towards MCIPS, or equivalent
·  Basic knowledge/awareness of SAP and understanding of E-Auction platforms
