Events Intern

INvolve is a membership organisation championing diversity inclusion in business. Through the delivery of events, programmes, thought leadership and advisory services INvolve helps member firms drive cultural change and create more inclusive workplaces. In addition, OUTstanding, EMpower and HERoes publish role model lists annually in partnership with the Financial Times, celebrating executives and future leaders who are leading the charge in their respective diversity spheres.
Reporting to: Events Manager
Salary range: c £300 p/w
Working closely with: Events & Role-Modelling Team, Programmes & Research Team, Comms and Marketing Team and Account Managers.
Summary:
We are looking for a personable, engaged Events Intern to join our small but growing Events Team from September – November to assist in a very busy period for INvolve. The Events Intern role will support the Events Team on the administration and delivery of all INvolve events (September – November).
Key areas of responsibilities include:
• Providing day to day administration for the Events Team including assisting management of RSVP’s and collating waiting lists
• Inputting event registration details into the CRM system
• Ensuring all pre-event collateral is created and distributed accordingly
• Assist with creation and circulation of event communications, from invitations to satisfaction surveys
• Packing for events and organising the collection and delivery of goods
• Provide administration support on an ad hoc basis to the Events Team and other teams as required

Person specification:
• MS office skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment; working well under pressure and keeping to tight deadlines
• Must be a team player but have the ability to work independently too
• A keen interest in developing a career within Events
Desirable but not essential:
• Knowledge and/or keen interest in the Diversity and Inclusion space
• Experience of using a CRM system
Personal attributes:
• Must possess a positive outlook with a can-do attitude
• Easy going personality with a good sense of humour
