The Role?

The primary role of the Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is to provide competent & effective mechanic maintenance support to Plant operations. The ability to perform work safely, meet the needs of Operations, execute the maintenance program & comply w/all safety codes is paramount. The Mechanic must identify, troubleshoot & repair problems in mechanical systems that occur in production equipment & processes. He/she must be able to run tests, isolate problems, remove/replace failed components, determine failure modes by studying worn components & perform other tasks as necessary. He/she also performs preventive maintenance & upgrades to mechanical systems.

The Maintenance Mechanic is recognized as skilled & knowledgeable in mechanical systems & is sought out to support troubleshooting, development of process/system improvements, preventive & predictive maintenance development & contractor performance monitoring, when necessary, for new equipment or process systems. He/she is responsible for notifying management if a workplace becomes too hazardous because of some mechanical problem.

  The roles and responsibilities include:

·  Actively participate in a team environment to meet the department and plant goals and objectives.
·  Provide maintenance support to all areas of the plant, and assist in developing a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for plant equipment.
·  Maintain the operation of equipment and systems in the areas of responsibilities such as process and packaging, warehouse, electrical distribution, steam, compressed air, refrigeration, security and fire protection, treated water and wastewater treatment facilities.
·  Utilize SAP-PM in the performance of daily tasks Install machinery and equipment as required
·  Maintain technical literature regarding plant equipment.
·  Follow plant GMP procedures: maintain working areas in a clean and organized fashion. Maintains tools and assigned equipment in good condition.
·  Prepare reports as needed Purchase of parts and supplies to carry out maintenance function. Comply with all governmental and Coca-Cola requirements
·  Other duties assigned as required.
·  Provide maintenance support to all areas of the plant, and assist in developing a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for plant equipment.
·  Maintain the operation of equipment and systems in the areas of responsibilities such as process and packaging, warehouse, electrical distribution, steam, compressed air, refrigeration, security and fire protection, treated water and wastewater treatment facilities.
·  Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, instrumentation and waste water treatment systems.
·  Knowledge of instrumentation systems Knowledge of treated water and waste water systems Knowledge of process and packaging systems.
·  Ability to read technical literature and mechanical and electrical drawings Simple mathematics.
·  Ability to drive a fork lift.
·  Lifting of 50-80 lbs. Technical.
·  Skills: Proven troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical systems.

Minimum Job Requirements? 

·  Education – Associates Degree (technical degree preferred)
·  Related Work Experience – 2 years’ experience in manufacturing maintenance
·  2 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
·  2+ years of mechanical/electrical experience preferred.
·  Prior diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience preferred.
·  Previous experience within high-speed industrial environment
·  Basic computer skills.
·  Ability to follow manufacturer’s specifications and schematics.
·  Programmable Logic Control (PLC) knowledge preferred.
·  May be required to supply hand tools.
