DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:

Position Overview:

This role reports directly to the FSM III CTM Finance Manager and plays a key role to enable the U.S. Coca-Cola bottling System to offer a common trade spend process to large national and regional customers.  This position is responsible for managing the contractual funding administration of complex customer agreements in collaboration with and in support of CCNA sales teams (i.e. National Retail Sales & Foodservice Sales) and other Bottlers who have customer call point responsibilities.  This role is critical to drive accuracy of trade spend and requires subject matter expertise in the customer funding systems and bottler approval processes, along with the analytical and financial experience to administer complex customer funding, prepare and review customer budgets, variance analysis, prepaid amortizations, balance sheet reconciliations and familiarity with GAAP and internal controls policy.  The FSM I will collaborate with Accounts sales teams and Finance teams to prepare and analyze the reasonableness of customer funding forecasts across all Bottler volume based on actuals and trends.  This role is also responsible for monitoring and ensuring customer governance processes are properly executed as it relates to funding calculations and allocation of expenses to the U.S. Bottlers. This role requires strong analytical, critical thinking, attention to detail, collaboration and partnership skills to identify and resolve funding, budget and governance process compliance issues in a timely and proactive manner, along with a self-sufficient ability to manage short-term and long-term deliverables.  This position will participate in the implementation of the CCME accrual system and will be instrumental in driving this change across the Sales organization and the U.S. Bottling System.


Responsibilities:


• Strong Partnerships with Sales, Customers, Bottlers, and Shared Services to communicate and influence trade spend risk/opportunities.

• Timely communication and collaboration with Sales, CBS Hierarchy & Sales Reporting, Customer Agreement team and Legal to resolve discrepancies in contractual language, interpretation and data reporting.

• Strong influencing skills required with the Sales teams on trade fund compliance, analytics, gap solving and CCME system implementation.

• Lead accrual management and volume/spend reconciliation calls with Sales and NRS Finance

• Analysis and interpretation of complex customer agreements; identify and proactively resolve discrepancies between language in customer agreements compared to the Bottler-approved program.

• Analysis of Matrix volume reports; ability to interpret data, proactively identify potential issues, and work to resolve in a timely fashion.

• Analysis of customer trade funding and volume forecasts to identify R&O in trade spending accruals and develop recommendations.

• Analysis and reconciliation of U.S. Bottling system Trade Fund liabilities.

Experience Requirements:

• 3+ years of financial/sales analysis work experience required

• Advanced Microsoft Office users (macros, pivot tables, vlookup, etc.) required

• Previous sales or financial reporting

• Strong computer and database application skills

• Strong analytical skills and attention to details

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to influence

• Adaptably to change

Education:

• BA/BS Accounting/Finance

• MBA/CPA preferred

• CPG or beverage experience preferred
