DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:

Position Overview:

This role will be responsible for building and implementing new capabilities and ways-of-working across Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability (PACS). Drawing on specialized in-house training, this person will become an expert in adopting the “Agile” model of working in order to support individual teams and the broader organization in implementing and adopting this approach.

This is a versatile role that requires individuals to be nimble, flexible and creative to support pillar priorities in PACS in order to protect and grow the reputation of the business for short and long term value.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities

• Become a deep expert in Agile ways of working

• Coach future project teams in their adoption of Agile, while working to solve key business problems facing TCCC

• Establish and effectively manage the resources, capability and measurements required (i.e. people, processes, systems, environment) to consistently deliver high-caliber results.

• Able to communicate effectively across levels of the organization

• Drive culture change and new ways-of-working, willingness to challenge the status quo, create change within the organization, and work through ambiguity

• Ability to apply advanced continuous improvement techniques and build a deep understanding of Agile ways-of-working

• Strong communication skills and ability to effectively tailor approach to reach audience at all organizational levels

Education Requirements: BA degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, English, PR or Marketing related discipline.

Related Work Experience:

• At least 3-5 years in public relations, communications and/or related field, including advertising, government relations or public policy, non-profit communications, media production and publishing; agency or journalism experience strongly preferred.

• Must be progressive and team-oriented but willing and able to make tough decisions independently when required.

Technical Skills:    

KO System & Industry Knowledge - Understands the business of The Coca-Cola Company across the value chain including product development, marketing and distribution, the competitive context and economic trends that may affect the system, stakeholders and our industry. Demonstrates and applies cultural sensitivity, as well as understanding national similarities and differences to create a comprehensive worldview.

360 Stakeholder Management - Applies knowledge of key areas of intersection between business and public policy (Tax / Finance, Responsible Marketing, Labeling, Packaging, Climate/Environment)  to identify and then develop relationships and networks with constituencies / entities that influence our business, including engaging constructively with stakeholders highly critical of the Coca-Cola System. 

Define, Develop and Execute Communication Strategy - Develop and execute global communications strategies involving multiple internal and external stakeholders and initiatives, incorporating diverse channels of communication to support our products, ingredients, policies and programs. Must be able to leverage working knowledge of technology platforms, evolving communications systems, social media tools and channels.

Understand, Interpret and Apply Data, Polling and Stakeholder Insights - Manage vendor to conduct research / focus groups and analyze findings - benchmarking against previous research. Review findings across geographies and identify commonalities / variances exist and then develop and execute plans from the findings including trend assessment and action plans.

Project Management - Ability to work cross-functionally (across BUs, functions, stakeholders) to initiate, plan, execute, anticipate challenges, develop solutions to correct and successfully deliver projects on time and within budget.
