About us:
The Cheerleading Company is a fun organisation based in South West London. As well as managing Pineapple Cheerleaders pro squad, the company has a nationwide team of cheerleading coaches and dance instructors who deliver fun dance sessions for hen parties. In addition to cheerleading, we offer a wide range of themes from Dirty Dancing to Glee and even the Beyonce ‘Single Ladies’ routine!

Role Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in social media and arts management in a fun dance company. We're looking for an intern to help out with The Cheerleading Company’s Social Media marketing and administration. The role would primarily include: assisting in the Social Media marketing for The Cheerleading Company’s dance hen parties and helping our hen party admin team with studio bookings.

Please note this is an unpaid internship however the intern will receive marketing and social media marketing training in all aspects of online marketing including brand messaging, creative, strategies, tracking response and achieving targets to contribute to their development of online marketing skills.

There are also opportunities to progress to a paid position for the right candidate. We have a paid role available from as early as November within the hen party admin and sales team and would hope the candidate would be suited to progress to this role as previous candidates have done.

Key responsibilities:
• Researching content for Social Media marketing campaigns
• Engaging with customers via social media platforms
• Implementing the social media marketing plan
• Providing administrative support for the team
• Assisting in booking studios

Dates:
Start date flexible but ideally asap within the next 5 weeks. The role would be for 3 months. Opportunity to then progress to a paid position within the admin team possibly starting as soon as after 2 months. We have a paid vacancy opening up very shortly!

Hours: 15 hours a week spread over 5 days a week between 10am-5pm.

Location: Tooting, London

Rate of pay: This is an unpaid position but training in Social Media and arts admin will be given.

Desired profile

Requirements:
• Confident with MS Office
• An interest in Social Media and Experience using Social Media platforms eg Facebook, Insta, Twitter for own personal use.
• A keen interest in Branding, Marketing and PR
• A keen interest in writing
• Well organised and efficient Logical thinker
• Attention to detail
• An interest in Celebrity, music, fashion and culture is not a requirement but a bonus.
• An interest in Dance is not a requirement but a big bonus!
