OPPORTUNITY

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic foodie with experience in Marketing & PR, to join our small, fun and family-run cookery school. We are seeking a long-term Head of Marketing, who will muck in, has a 'get things done' and work hard play hard attitude. We are a small ambitious team, looking for a unique individual to share our passion to grow the business in a relaxed, fun and extremely hard working environment!

COMPANY OVERVIEW
We are a small, busy, dynamic and super friendly family-team bursting with energy and drive offering a wide range of delicious and hands-on cookery classes and 1&2 week courses for ages and abilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
You will primarily be expected to be a Brand Ambassador for the company while assisting, when needed, in other aspects of the business.
Key responsibilities, which include but are not limited to;
Digital and Hard Brand Marketing
Implementation of all traditional, social and digital marketing and content strategy
Maintenance of website and online 3rd party platforms
Creation of hard marketing material such as flyers, banners and leaflets
Carry out marketing campaigns and PR events
Attending networking events to liaise with press and B2B Marketing
Heading a stall at food and gap fairs in order promote the business

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Exceptional written and verbal communicator
A people person who isn't afraid of approaching potential customers
Ability to create relevant, engaging and trend-driven content for the various digital platforms
Strong copywriter and proof-writer
Good knowledge/passion of food would be a plus
Confident at using various social media platforms
Strong sense of brand marketing
Good creative, digital and analytical skills
Being your own manager of your tasks and organising both time and work efficiently

PAYMENT & PERKS
£17k per annum, pro rata
£20k for those with a good knowledge and experience of Google AdWords and Analytics
20 Days Holiday + bank holidays pro rata

We would ask you to fulfill a 2 day trial to start with, this will give both you and us an idea of how you work and fit in.

If your trial is successful we would ask for you to start straight away for training - this period would be unpaid and full payment would commence after.

Desired profile

We do not require a degree but strong written skills is a must and some previous marketing experience across the relevant marketing disciplines is required.
