An opportunity has arisen within our Test Systems Engineering group, working on the design and development of innovative technical solutions that meet customer requirements and business needs. You will work as part of the Test Systems Engineering team on one of our multi-discipline programmes. Under the guidance of the Test Systems work package manager, you will carry out the various Test Systems design/ development/ support tasks appropriate to the lifecycle phase of the product.


Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

· Develop test plans in conjunction with Engineering Designers
· Ensure Testability requirements are satisfied
· Develop test applications in hardware and software for use during Product Acceptance
· Design and coding of test software
· Conducting all aspects of test solution development in accordance with company processes and standards
· Support Operations in Product Acceptance Test including fault diagnosis and repair
· Represent the company at meetings and presentations to customers, suppliers and sub-contractors
· Participate in and contribute to company continuous improvement projects when required.
· Maintain a broad knowledge of new developments in Test Engineering technology, methodologies and tools, potentially applicable to Thales ADW products.

Skills and Experience:


Essential

· Appreciation of test requirements analysis, specification & design
· Demonstrable experience of programming in a high level language (Labview, C, C++, C#) for automation of Functional Test
· Knowledge of data communications Desirable

· Design of Electro/mechanical and electro/optics systems
· Knowledge of Digital & Analogue Circuit Design & Development
· Digital / Analog Fault finding
· Practical experience in a number of design stages of software and /or hardware engineering lifecycle

Qualifications

· BSc/BEng (Hons) degree in an engineering or computing discipline
· HNC/HND in a relevant engineering subject, with time served experience will also be considered
· Good understanding of current trends in test development engineering and technologies would be beneficial.
