Our Vehicles & Tactical Systems domain develops specialised protected mobility vehicles and related products to support our customers' unique requirements. Our manufacturing, engineering and design operations are based in Bendigo with a major Support facility in Brisbane. Our products include the Bushmaster, the recently developed Hawkei, survivability enhancement kits, engineering support services and general maintenance services. About the Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a specialist in Software Integration Engineering on vehicles or the like, to join our Bendigo team. The primary focus of this role is to integrate software within vehicle platforms and to perform engineering investigations and design analysis. This position also encompasses the management of suppliers contributing to the communication and software system to ensure components and upgrades are technically compliant with requirements and achieve the overall program milestones.

Key Responsibilities

· Complete a variety of software integration and other design related tasks
· Utilise your technical expertise to understand systems and troubleshoot potential issues
· Work as part of a team to design, code and unit test (STD) software components
· Expand on current software designs using supplier software and implement corrective actions
· Develop vehicle interface tool software for vehicle development phases
· Develop vehicle simulation software using Thales preferred software package
· Co-ordinate vehicle platform software and provide input to testing activity
· Play a key role in design planning meetings and design reviews (DFMEA and FMECA)

Key Skills and Experience

· Tertiary qualifications in electrical/electronic or mechatronic engineering coupled with significant experience in a similar software integration role, ideally within the automotive sector
· Demonstrated experience and knowledge across software management/configuration, design life cycles, HMI / EMI systems and specific elements for vehicle requirements
· Experience in data buses and protocols including SAE J1939 CAN and Ethernet
· Knowledge of DOORS application tools and C++ experience
· Strong collaboration skills in partnering with technical stakeholders and project management capabilities to deliver outcomes against project milestones
Special Requirements: Must be an Australian Citizen to be eligible for a Defence Security Clearance and access information covered by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
