We are currently looking for an Intern – Software Engineer Low-Level Software (LLS) to join the Thales Inflyt Experience team in Irvine .

The role of the Intern – Software Engineer Low-Level Software (LLS) is to support the design and implementation of our In-flight Entertainment systems. This intern will be involved in the low level software building process and have the opportunity to work with software configuration tools. Additionally, he/she will receive a better understanding of the software development cycle and how low level software components such as boot loader, Linux kernel, and Linux device drivers fit into that system.

Key Responsibilities:

· Validate the new build processes with the new virtual environment for all of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs)
· Update all Software Development documents
· Update wiki web pages
· Work with the Thales IFEC platforms (i4, i5, i8, and AVANT)

Required Skills and Experience:

· Pursing Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering discipline from a four-year college/university
· 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Familiar with Linux shell scripting
· Familiar with C language
· Familiar with Microsoft documentation tools and strong documentation skills
· Be organized, able to take instructions, work in a time sensitive environment, and be able to solve problems independently or/and under limited supervision
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Self –motivated, critical thinker with technical background
· Ability to work independently as well as in teams with members of other engineering and non-engineering teams
