Job description

The role of the Financial is to produce HSBC HBEU reporting, including the statutory financial statements and results submissions to the Group.

Your responsibilities will include:
· Assisting with the control, review and production of HBEU's reporting process
· Coordination and execution of ad hoc requests
· Assistance in developing HBEU's approach to new requirements
· Coordination of effort between on and offshore teams

Desired profile

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for this role will have the below experience and qualifications:
·  Role relevant qualifications, i.e. holds a recognised relevant professional accountancy qualification
·  A good understanding of consolidated financial statements
·  Past working experience on relevant systems, i.e. Understanding of the Group's financial reporting systems and structures an advantage
·  Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Sound knowledge of Microsoft packages and in particular excel. Previous use of HFM Enterprise and Wdesk are desirable but not essential
·  Audit and / or banking experience would be an advantage
·  Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered.
·  Contributed productively to team objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading activities to achieve shared goals.
·  Experience of making prompt and practical business decision, even in times of ambiguity, considering various perspectives and taking responsibility for outcomes
·  Experience of planning and prioritising their own time effectively, aware of their responsibilities and committed to delivering these efficiently
·  Supported project teams/managers, showing an understanding of the basic principles of project management
·  Set and achieved challenging short, medium and long term goals which exceeded the standards in their field
·  Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
·  Built effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same
·  A broad understanding of financial budgets/statements/models, with experience of analysing data effectively for planning, forecasting and reporting
·  A comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes
