Thales Australia's Air Traffic Management (ATM) domain provides leading edge airspace control and security solutions for the commercial and Defence sectors. Technologies supplied by the ATM global centre of excellence, based in Melbourne, are currently deployed in Australia and across Asia and the Pacific region.

A great opportunity now exists to join our systems safety engineering team in ATM based in Melbourne in our office in the World Trade Centre. This is a critical role in our business which will be responsible for performing the systems safety studies and analysis during the program lifecycle of our Air Traffic Management programs for our equipment. This will include understanding our customer operational environment, analysing his requirements related to safety and also involvement in the tender/bid part of the project. There is a constant focus on reporting any safety issues or concerns to the safety manager.

To be successful in this role you are ideally degree in engineering. A focus in your studies in system safety would be highly regarded. Importantly also to the success of this role you must have previous experience working in a safety engineering role. You have solid knowledge on the international standards of the safety domain with strong analysis skills. Any knowledge of air traffic management/avionics would be viewed favourably!
