The Role

Tesla Motors is seeking a Sales Skills Content Developer to design engaging learning experiences for the Tesla Field Sales Team. The Sales Skills Content Developer will accomplish this by designing effective in-person, web-based and video e-Learning courses. This role will work closely with the Sales Training Manager, Regional Sales Trainers and various stakeholders across the business, to identify training needs and develop effective and customized content. Tesla changes constantly, which means that for this role we are looking for someone who can adapt and flex as needed to deliver great content to our audience, when they need it and in the right format.

Responsibilities

·Work within tight turnaround times to develop great content, quickly

·Create course outlines, storyboards, and scripts that meet learning objectives in a learner-optimized fashion

·Apply the ADDIE method to design engaging instructor-led, web-based and video courses for adult learners

·Partner with Subject Matter Experts to identify course goals, target audience, and learning objectives

·Write task-based assessments that measure objectives

·Identify content strategies and treatments that will provide the best training experience for the learner

·Work collaboratively and effectively with others to promote innovative approaches and enhance productivity related to curriculum development

·Assess current training, designs and feedback in order to build client satisfaction and training product quality

·Work with global teams to gather content, translate courses, and build localized training for global roll out

Desired profile

Requirements

·Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required, plus relevant experience in training and/or instructional design

·Project management, self-management and multi-tasking skills

·Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with problem solving and relationship building

·Ability to show thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and creativity in any situation

·Experience developing content and/or training in a customer service or sales operations environment

·Ability to collaborate with various teams to produce learning solutions and learning guidance in an enthusiastic and inspiring manner

·Experience with maintaining or updating course material with an LMS

·User experience with both Mac OS X and Windows operating systems

·Thorough application in Microsoft Office, Pages, and Keynote

·Candidates will be expected to provide a portfolio of written and/or design work

Additional Qualifications

·Basic understanding of user experience and responsive design

·Experience with building and maintaining a course asset database

·  Experience with web-authoring tools and multimedia a plus

·A sense of style, a passion for working hard towards a common goal, a thrill for building a brand, and, of course, a car nut at heart
