Role

We have a unique temporary opportunity for a Data Research Analyst within our NPI Global Service Operations team. A successful candidate will have strong analysis and problem solving skills, and experience in reviewing Engineering design changes, Bill of Materials (BOM) control and structuring, product lifecycle management, part supersession and change implementation analysis. This individual will work closely with Data Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Advanced Serviceability and PLM Systems Development teams acting as a technical support to launching and populating a service-specific Bill of Materials.

Responsibilities

·  Review a variety of legacy data sources to extract part attribute data and vehicle production date compatibility
·  Support the systems development team to store and distribute part attribute data as part of the larger Service BOM creation effort
·  Work closely with the Data Science team to improve and document the data collection process, including the use of automation via data analytics

Desired profile

Requirements

·  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or demonstration of exceptional ability and relevant experience
·  Experience working with complex BOMs and analyzing Engineering design changes
·  PLM system experience preferred
·  CAD experience preferred (CATIA preferred)
·  Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
·  Automotive industry experience related to design, manufacturing, and vehicle repair is a plus
·  Open-minded self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technical environment, and to work independently on multiple tasks and projects, adapt, improvise and problem solve
