Job Title: Firmware Integration Engineer

Job Description:

Responsible for maintaining vehicle production through prevention of firmware and software systems failures. Solve problems in the production of highly connected and software controlled vehicles. Use novel approaches with embedded software in electro-mechanical systems to enable streamlined production and troubleshooting. Responsible for vehicle design from the hardware/software/firmware perspective. Review, design and implement systems to enable streamlined production of vehicles. Influence the end-to-end process of firmware upload into the vehicle’s subsystems at the manufacturing line. Help with the timely troubleshooting and fix of production line down issues. Coordinate with the Firmware Engineering, NPI and GA teams to release new firmware to the line. Trial new releases and provide feedback to the firmware engineering team about the feasibility of the new release. Maintain production systems used in manufacturing and testing of the vehicles. Work with end of line, service and delivery teams to meet the daily production targets. Respond to calls for support from various stations at the factory.

Job Requirements:

·  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related.
·  Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience in embedded software engineering, electrical engineering, or a combination thereof.
·  Ability and willingness to work evening shift (for night shift engineer)

Academic background or work experience to include:

·  Experience in at least one of the following languages: C, C++, C#, Python, Ruby, MYSQL, Matlab/Labview;
·  Test and validation of embedded software in electro-mechanical systems;
·  Collaborating with colleagues and communicating complex technical concepts;
·  Hardware, firmware, and software interactions and integration in electro-mechanical systems;
·  Manufacturing and process improvements; and
·  New product introduction and readiness.
