About The Job
This role is responsible to inspect Tesco Brand products using the Check/ Inspect/ Reject process against pre-agreed Tesco standards and working tools. You will also conduct various other checks to ensure due diligence of Tesco brand lines and to also ensure only quality products reach our customers. You will support the compliance of GSCOP by ensuring all product testing is completed and reported fairly and accurately in line with our annual training.
Main Responsibilities
Working within a team of people based in depot I inspect products against pre-agreed specifications and make decisions based on those specifications to reject or accept product into the business.
Conducting visual, shelf life, destructive tests and other required tests when needed to help deliver best quality to our customers
Supporting various other departments within the business with collecting samples , temperature data, and information when required.
Working to achieve team targets & deliver department workload by contributing equally & supporting colleagues
Working to agreed methods and recording and presenting data accurately on databases & spreadsheets.
Attending planned training days & achieving the required pass score to ensure skills & knowledge are maintained
When possible, supporting the quality team with checks at mobile locations

Understanding of What Good Looks Like on products across the whole Tesco range, & how to prepare and cook a range of products with the ability to articulate good & bad performance
Ability to accurately follow methods & processes, proven defect analysis & accuracy of data collection & entry, as well as good problem solving ability
Experience relevant for this job:
Excellent customer approach, & good cross functional working relations across teams demonstrating effective communication skills
Methodical & balanced in approach, good time management & quick thinking ability to re-prioritise workload under pressure & at short notice
Flexibility to work in various locations when required
