POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Technician reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor. This position is responsible for picking, packing, receiving, shipping, labeling, conducting visual inspections, counting inventory and general warehouse duties.

Responsibilities
·  Pull parts from inventory for shipment or assembly
·  Compare parts to customer order with packing list and ensure correct quantity and description
·  Pack product in box or crate with wrapping or using filler to prevent shifting and damage. Ensure the product meets the needs of customer, freight carrier and customs specifications
·  Ensure proper documentation is in inside the box, seal and label or stencil the container with all destination information required
·  Weigh and measure container and note dimensions on bill of lading
·  Check in inventory and ensure it is stored properly
·  Ensure safe work practices and good housekeeping procedures are being followed
·  Verify quantity and description received against vendor packing slips on incoming inspections
·  Assist with loading and unloading trucks as required

Qualifications
·  One (1) year of related experience (shipping/export/inventory)
·  Ability to comprehend internal documents and compare to order being shipped
·  Forklift License
·  Computer experience preferred
·  Knowledge of Edmonton Operating Procedures and quality standards is an asset
·  Knowledge of Freight Carrier and Export Shipping requirements is an asset
